During the February holidays, Méribel takes on a whole new dimension. During this key period, skiers illuminate the slopes by night with magical torchlight descents, creating timeless evenings where locals and visitors come together for an unmissable Alpine tradition.

In both La Chaudanne and Mottaret, the ESF instructors' Ski Show has become an iconic event. With its impressive choreography, it embodies the excellence and the spirit of sharing that are part of the resort’s unique character.

Throughout this period, entertainment and fireworks set the pace of local life. Méribel offers an array of wonderful experiences, that can be enjoyed on as well as off the slopes.

It is this energy and strong sense of community — particularly through the 75th ESF Instructors’ Challenge — that gives Méribel its unique spirit. Schedules to take place between April 12 to 17, 2027, this major annual competition for French ski instructors brings together between 3,500 and 4,000 participants, energising the resort at the end of the season and enhancing its appeal. Yet another great reason to return to Méribel next year.
